NATURE and wildlife tourism is growing in popularity as visitors look for a meaningful experience on their holidays, according to experts.
Operators running nature based holidays have revealed that the escapism and emotional attachment which tourists get from this type of holiday is encouraging them to return.
According to figures, country and heritage tourism makes a £20.6b contribution to the UK and one area leading the way is Scotland, where visitors have the chance to get close to some of the country's most spectacular natural landscapes and local wildlife.
