From 21 July - 2 September the British Motor Museum will be celebrating Land Rover's 70th Birthday with a programme of Land Rover themed fun, family activities!
Every day visitors can discover some of the Land Rovers in the Museum's collection with the Land Rover Explorer Trail - follow this self-guided trail and receive a Land Rover sticker on completion. Families can also join 'Adventure Annie' or 'Adventure Alex' on a family Explorer Tour and hear some of the amazing adventures that the cars have survived, through wilderness, jungles and deserts. Explorer Tours run every day at 1:45pm.
For the creative types there is the opportunity to colour in a Land Rover No.1 or even make your own Land Rover model! Whilst every Wednesday visitors can discover the world of science with AutoScience LIVE - two 25 minute shows at 11:45am and 2:15pm, full of cool interactive demonstrations with the 'mad scientists' Professor Pickle and Doctor Pumpkin!
Visitors can also wander around the new Car S.O.S Exhibition which features 7 cars from the hit motoring TV show Car S.O.S and for those that need to let off steam there's our outside play area and dedicated picnic zone.
Emma Rawlinson, Life Long Learning Officer for the British Motor Museum stated "We've got plenty to keep the whole family entertained this Summer. Our activities are designed so that visitors can explore our collection in a fun and interactive way, whatever their age. We have 'sit in and push along' Mini's for those aged 3 and under to get around the Museum, and a photo booth dressing up box for those inclined!"
All activities are included in the Museum admission and a family ticket is just £39. If you buy 1 day there is the option to get 12 months free when you Gift Aid your entrance.
