Visitors are invited to step back in time and relive the vintage era of over 300 classic and vintage lorries, trucks and buses when the British Motor Museum hosts the 'Classic and Vintage Commercial Show' on Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 June. This must see show features a diverse selection of commercial vehicles built pre-1998. Now in its 11th year, the event is one of the largest classic commercial shows in Europe.
Over the weekend there will be a commercial vehicle trade area where visitors can rummage through a selection of automobile spares, photos and brochures. The Museum will host an Indoor Model Show featuring scratch build kits in various scales. Saturday will see the return of the 'Lorry Driver of the Year' competition where drivers test their manoeuvring skills on a specially designed course.
On Sunday the Show will welcome a greater number of vehicles featuring classic British marques such as AEC, Austin, Bedford, ERF, Foden, Ford Thames, Leyland, Scammell and Morris along with some overseas marques. The Show will also feature some light commercial vehicles from the Morris J Type through to the Ford Transit.
Once again the Show is supported by Kelsey Media who will be selling their range of magazines including Classic Vintage and Commercial, Classic Van and Pick Up and Vintage Roadscene along with others.
Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum stated "Now in its 11th year the show is as popular as ever and is a fascinating nostalgia trip.
