'Secret Salisbury Cathedral' a success
SALISBURY Cathedral has hosted two special days out for groups.
The Secret Salisbury Cathedral events offered pre-booked visitors the opportunity to see behind the scenes in areas normally closed to the public and meet specialist staff including masons, vergers and organists.
Director of marketing and visitor services David Coulthard said: "We're grateful to the group travel organisers and independent coach companies whose enthusiasm and support helped us to shape the event. It was partly their idea after all! People just love to find out how things happen in exciting places like cathedrals and the mixture of tours, demonstrations and 'hands on' activities we put together proved very attractive."
