THE Scottish Seabird Centre has been named Tourism Business of the Year at the 2008 National Business Awards for Scotland.
The judges commented that, since opening in 2000, the centre had become a landmark tourist destination and community asset, helping to revitalise North Berwick and its historic harbour area.
Tom Brock, centre chief executive, said: "We are delighted to have won this prestigious award, in recognition of the outstanding support of our staff, volunteers, members and visitors.
