NEW research has shown that almost half of holidaymakers have scaled back their holiday plans but two thirds still plan to take more eco-friendly holidays.
A survey of over 1,000 adults by the consultancy Good Business, suggests the recession is already forcing consumers to change their holiday plans with 46 per cent scaling back.
But 61 per cent of consumers say they are planning to find out more about the social and environmental impact of their holiday and 55 per cent plan to choose holiday destinations which can be reached by train or boat rather than flying.
