Ragley Hall to welcome Group travel Organisers and Coach Tour Operators

Ragley Hall is gearing up to welcome Group travel Organisers and Coach Tour Operators to visit the stunning stately home and gardens throughout 2016. 2016 also marks the 300th anniversary of 'Capability' Brown and with Ragley's links to the famous landscape designer, visiting the stately home is set to become an even more popular day out for groups.

Located in the heart of Shakespeare's England, just 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, Ragley Hall is also conveniently located for the picturesque Cotswolds as well as an onwards journey to Birmingham and the north. Special offers are available for large groups and free entry and complimentary refreshments are provided for the coach driver. There are a number of different catering options available including a two course hot buffet lunch and afternoon tea packages. A Tour and a Tea package is £12.00 per person or a Tour only for £10 per person for pre-booked groups. For coach tour companies on a tight schedule, menu requests can be pre-booked in advance. There is also ample parking for coaches.

Ragley offers a number of special tours for groups including guided tours of the state rooms which are adorned with impressive art, ceramics and furniture. The tours take in the Great Hall, Red Saloon, State Dining Room, Prince Regent's Bedroom, Mauve Room, Music Room, Breakfast Room and Green Drawing Room as well as the South Staircase Hall and its spectacular mural, 'The Temptation'.

Groups can also explore the 10 hectares of gardens which surround the Hall and date back to 1681. Although the 170 hectares of parkland were designed by 'Capability' Brown during the 18th century, little is known about the gardens prior to 1871. It is thought that the Capability landscape came right up to the Hall itself until garden designer Robert Marnock enclosed the 10 hectares as pleasure grounds, planting them with trees and shrubs and creating a formal Victorian flower garden. The gardens display a spectacular array of snowdrops in the winter, tulips and daffodils in the spring and a Rose Garden and Prairie Garden throughout the summer months.

Hilary Philpott, House Manager at Ragley stated "Ragley Hall has always been a popular visitor attraction for the groups market. We are delighted to welcome group travel organisers and coach tour operators throughout 2016 and with our convenient location, stunning state rooms, beautiful gardens, a range of catering options served by friendly staff, touring companies can relax knowing their customers are in excellent hands."
