Nostalgia turns tide for UK beaches

HALF of those going on holiday this summer will be staying in the UK, it has been claimed.
Research by LateRooms.com shows that rising living costs and the ongoing effects of the credit crunch have influenced 51 per cent of holiday-goers to stay in the UK this summer.
The survey also revealed that 75 per cent of Brits say nostalgia is their main reason for visiting UK beaches, and say they try to return to the places they were taken to as children.
