THE organisers of a festival in the North East have revealed how it is successfully boosting tourism in the region.
The Mouth of the Tyne festival is organised by North Tyneside Council and this year's event attracted about 150,000 visitors.
Highlights of the programme included free world-class street entertainment, live music and special one-off performances as well as a ticketed, paid for concert at local attraction Tynemouth Priory and Castle from popular singer James Morrison.
