New Tea-Tox healthy afternoon tea introduced at Weavers' House Spa at The Swan at Lavenham

Weavers' House Spa at The Swan at Lavenham has introduced its own 'spa take' on the traditional afternoon tea to satisfy their most health food conscious guests who enjoy a sweet sensation. The Tea-Tox offers a handpicked selection of healthy, raw and gluten free delights from the hotel's award winning cake and pastry chef Anmar Odendal.
"I wanted to create a health conscious afternoon tea, with superfood ingredients", said Anmar. "Now people are quitting gluten and working on the inside out, eating clean doesn't mean you can't have a little of what you fancy".
The menu includes a selection of delicate finger sandwiches filled with cucumber, dill and black pepper; smoked salmon and lemon crème fraîche; maple roasted Suffolk ham and a Manor Farm hen's egg with light mustard mayonnaise. Handmade raisin and apple and walnut scones follow served with clotted cream and jam and lemon curd preserve - all with gluten free options.
The final tempting, but healthy treats include peanut butter and chia seed bites - raw, vegan, gluten free packed with energy and natural sugar; carrot and sultana loaf - dairy and gluten free goodness served with homemade berry jam; sweet potato brownies - gluten free deliciousness, and fresh fruit skewers - a selection of seasonal fruits and berries.
Indulge your senses, enjoy a spa experience and then treat yourself to a little of what you fancy with a Tea-Tox. Served in the tranquillity of the spa after your treatment, it can be taken on the outdoor terrace by the Vitality Pool or indoors in the relaxation suite. It's just £19.50 per person including your choice of our bespoke blended herbal teas from Camelia's Tea House.
