Mother's Day at Wentworth Castle

THE spectacular gardens at Wentworth Castle in Barnsley have been bursting into bloom - just in time for Mother's Day.
The popular visitor attraction has a host of events planned for the occasion, all set against the backdrop of 60 acres of formal gardens and a magnificent display of magnolias.
On Saturday March 9 and Sunday March 10, younger visitors can make flowers, cards or a decorated plant pot ready for Mother's Day.
On Mother's Day, visitors can also enjoy a guided tour of the house plus a cream or afternoon tea.
Director Claire Herring said: "The gardens look simply spectacular when the magnolias come into full bloom but their flowering time is fleeting. To enjoy these wonderful white and pink blooms at their best, visitors will be need to quick.
"The fact that the magnolias' moment of glory ties in with Mothers' Day this year makes it all the more special."
