Leaders celebrate distillery's success

SCOTLAND'S tourism chiefs are celebrating after a single malt distilled in one of the country's most remote distilleries was named the world's best whisky.
Old Pulteney, from the distillery in Wick, was crowned World whisky of the year in Jim Murray's 2012 Whisky Bible - beating off competition from 1200 new drams.
Tourism bosses hope the award will help the distillery to become discovered around the world.
