THE award-winning Trout Hotel in the Western Lake District has created a mouthwatering afternoon tea with a festive twist.
The menu includes a mini prawn cocktail, accompanied by turkey with all the trimmings on brioche, smoked salmon and lemon cream cheese sandwiches, plus egg and rocket sandwiches.
There's also a traditional mince pie, shortbread, a scone with jam and clotted cream, a chocolate Yule log and lemon posset complemented with cranberry compote, accompanied by fresh coffee or tea.
