Design & Desire - The Great Exhibition of 1851
Open 10am-5pm Monday - Friday
Exhibition bringing the excitement and intrigue of the Great Exhibition of 1851 to life using objects and images, including prints and paintings from the Elton Collection, it tells the story of how it became one of the most influential and renowned events of the 19th century, breaking class boundaries and laying the foundations for a century of invention and modernity.

Jackfield Tile Museum, Jackfield, near Ironbridge, Shropshire TF8 7LJ
Tile Decorating Workshops
Museum opens 10am - 5pm daily
Join a drop-in tile decorating workshop between 10am and 3.30pm and try the tube lining technique to produce your own ceramic masterpiece; you could make a collection of coasters, a circular door plaque or a gift for a loved one on a heart shaped tile. Activities vary from day-to-day; tiles cost from £5 each and can be fired and sent home later for a small extra charge to cover postage and packing. It takes up to 1½ hours to decorate your tile so last admission to the workshops is 2pm.
Museum entrance fee including a voluntary Gift Aid donation £9.75 adults; £8.75 for 60 plus and £6.25 for children (up to 18 years and in full time education), under 5s free

Queen Victoria's Birthday
Museum opens 10am - 5pm daily
See the Town dressed with flags and bunting to honour Queen Victoria's birthday and enjoy Queen Victoria-themed poems and stories daily at 2pm.
Museum entrance fee including a voluntary Gift Aid donation £17.95 adults; £13.75 for 60 plus and £11.85 for children (up to 18 years and in full time education), under 5s free

Hotbuckle Productions present Jane Austen's Emma (evening event)
Gates and fairground open 6pm, performance starts 7.30pm
Hotbuckle Productions come to Blists Hill for the first time with their own inspired adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma. Outdoor performance suitable for all the family; bring rugs and a picnic, cash bar and chairs to hire. Enjoy all the fun of the fair before the play.

1940s Night Blitz Hill (evening event)
6pm - 9pm
Enjoy a summer evening on the home front as Blists Hill Victorian Town travels forward to the 1940s, with vintage entertainment, music and food. Dress-up in your finest 1940s civilian costumes, pencil-on your stocking seams, grab your Ration Book and get ready to 'make do and mend' at this fantastic fun event.

Join in a drop-in tile decorating workshop and try the tube lining technique to produce a tile featuring your own design and choice of colours. Activities vary from day-to-day; tiles cost from £5 each and can be fired and sent home later for a small extra charge to cover postage and packing. It takes up to 1½ hours to decorate your tile so last admission to the workshops is at 3.00pm.
