Irish chic for Dublin hotel

IRISH designers and suppliers will feature heavily in Dublin's new look Morrison hotel.

The 138-room boutique hotel is having a major €7 million overhaul thanks to owner Morrison Estate Holdings. It will reposition the hotel as a vibrant place to visit and place a renewed emphasis on the food and drink offer.

Patrick Joyce, new general manager, said he was enthusiastic about the opportunities for Irish artisan producers and added that the food and beverage offer would deliver a "new and exciting" culinary experience. The hotel reopens in early February 2013. The Morrison is keeping customers updated, having installed a camera to capture the works. It is available to view at http://www.morrisonhotel.ie.
