Following a public appeal for a new venue, Hotel Indigo® Stratford-upon-Avon has stepped in to save the day and offered The Woodsman as the new monthly meeting location for the Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival Books with Friend book club.
The 93-room historic boutique hotel has a strong connection with literature with design nods throughout to Shakespeare and a recently introduced free library service, offering guests and visitors the chance to immerse themselves in plays by the great bard. With its strong links to literature and its heart of town location, the Hotel Indigo® Stratford-upon-Avon hotel was the perfect venue for the book club to host their monthly meetings.
Carl Davies-Phillips, General Manager for Hotel Indigo® Stratford-upon-Avon said; "We are passionate about supporting our local neighbourhood and we were delighted to be able to come to the aid of the Stratford-upon-Avon Literary Festival book club. Literature is such an important aspect to our hotel and with the book club meetings and our free library service this truly is the hotel for literary fans."
Annie Ashworth, Stratford Literary Festival Director, said; "Books with Friends is our monthly book group especially aimed at older people who might find themselves a bit lonely or socially isolated. We lost our recent meeting place and are enormously grateful to Hotel Indigo for offering us its Snug so that our meetings, that are so important to our members, can continue without a hitch. We look forward to being in residence for some time to come."
The book club meets on the last Thursday of every month at Hotel Indigo® Stratford-upon-Avon from 9:30am-3:30pm. For more information, please visit https://www.stratfordliteraryfestival.co.uk/ and to book a stay at the hotel visit: https://stratford.hotelindigo.com/
