Green award win for Scottish travel company

MULTI-award winning travel company Rabbie's Small Group Tours has secured another accolade - the 2013 Green Tourism Goldstar Award for tour operator of the year.
The Edinburgh-based business was presented with the award at the annual Green Tourism Conference held at the AT Bristol Science Centre.
Managing director Hazel Rickett said: "We are elated to receive the Tour Operator of the Year award in recognition of our green credentials.
"One of the founding principles of the company was and remains our commitment to running an environmentally aware organisation. It seems only fitting that during the celebration of our 20th anniversary, our determination to adhere to this principal is rewarded by our peers.
"When the company started in 1993, sustainable tourism was an alien concept for many. However, what is heartening is that environmental best practice implemented by so many organisations the length and breadth of the country has become the standard and Green Tourism should take much of the credit in helping to foster this."
