BIRMINGHAM'S festive countdown has begun, with the launch of a new social media led campaign 'Christmas now trending in Birmingham,' designed to get people talking online about the region's seasonal offer.
As part of the campaign, Visit Birmingham is using Twitter hashtags such as #festivefun, #shoppedtilidropped and #encore to encourage people to tweet about the activities they are enjoying across the region and inspire others to visit.
Birmingham-born presenter Emma Willis is championing the city as part of a major radio advertising campaign, shining a spotlight on the region's great festive selection of food and drink, shopping, seasonal events and culture.
The 30 second adverts will be heard across UK regional commercial radio networks, with Emma urging listeners to 'open the doors to our thousands of shops' and 'open your heart to the great festive cheer'.
