Christmas event for groups at Warwickshire attraction

CHEDHAM'S Yard in Wellesbourne, Warwickshire, is inviting groups to step back in time and experience a traditional Victorian Christmas at the BBC Restoration prize winning attraction on Saturday December 14.
Visitors can eat roasted chestnuts on the forge, sample Christmas themed cakes, mulled wine or hot apple and mini mince pies.
There will also be music, plus readings from Charles Dickens' novels, an appearance from Father Christmas and volunteers dressed in traditional costume.
Visitors will also be able to make and take home traditional decorations for their Christmas trees.
Heritage project officer Debs Hext said: "Our Victorian Christmas event will be a fun, informative and fascinating insight into how people celebrated Christmas in Victorian times and will be the perfect opportunity for everyone to get into the festive spirit."
