Celebrate British Marques at nostalgic 'BMC & Leyland Show'!

Now in its sixth year, visitors are once again invited to celebrate British Marques at the British Motor Museum when it hosts the 'BMC & Leyland Show' on Sunday 1 July. The nostalgic show was launched to pay tribute to the vehicles that were produced by the British Motor Corporation, British Leyland, The Rover Group and pre-BMC Group.
With hundreds of vehicles on display, including cars, commercial and military, the show highlights the enormity of vehicles produced under the BMC marque. From the smaller Minis and Morris Minors, to the larger Rover 800's, Montego's and Maestro's and everything in between including vans and lorries.
There will be the traditional Cowley convoy from BMW Mini Cowley and a Longbridge Convoy from MG Longbridge, both arriving at the British Motor Museum in the morning. To join the convoy please contact Tanya Field on 07929 868284. In addition vehicle entrants can take part in a 'Show and Shine' which is open to all vehicles attending the Show. Simply register your vehicle on the day.
The FREE 'Archive Event - British Leyland at 50' will give visitors the rare opportunity to view and get close to historic documents in British Leyland's history. Starting at 11am and 2pm, these insightful talks will also detail how historic material is preserved in the Archive Collection. Expert commentary will be provided by the Archive Assistant. Talks last 45 minutes each and must be booked in advance via the Museum website (link below). Plus, visitors can explore the range of products available from the Archive Team throughout the day.
Tom Caren, Show Manager at the British Motor Museum stated "Now in its sixth year this nostalgic show continues to grow in popularity. It is aimed at real BMC and Leyland enthusiasts as a celebration of all that is great about British motoring manufacturing - it's a great trip down memory lane!"
