British Motor Museum wins again

The British Motor Museum has been awarded a VisitEngland Visitor Attraction Welcome Accolade. The Accolade is only awarded to a small percentage of venues each year as part of the Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme. The Accolade is testament to the high standards achieved at the British Motor Museum which the assessor felt were truly deserving of recognition following its 2018 assessment.

VisitEngland's Attractions Accolades, now in their 5th year, can be attained by members of the Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme in categories including the Welcome Accolade, Hidden Gem, Best Told Story, Quality Food and Drink and the Gold Accolade. Members represent a wide range of tourism experiences across England. They are supported by a network of highly trained assessors who advise on improving and promoting the quality, accessibility and sustainability of their offer.

The British Motor Museum is no stranger to winning these highly coveted Accolades having previously been awarded Gold in 2016 and 2017.

Tom O'Reilly, General Manager at the British Motor Museum said "In order to be awarded the Welcome accolade you have to score highly in the 'staff' category that covers appearance, customer care, efficiency and knowledge. We're delighted to have scored 97% which is testament to how we have developed our business practises to put the customer at the heart of everything we do".

Julie Tew, Managing Director at the British Motor Museum said "We are extremely proud to have been awarded the Welcome Accolade which is a first for the Museum. The team works incredibly hard in delivering a first class visitor experience so it's great to see their hard work, high standards and commitment recognised by VisitEngland."
