British Motor Museum announces extensive events programme & new exhibition for 2019

The British Motor Museum has announced a schedule of over 16 unique motoring shows for 2019, including the return of its popular adult workshops Living with a Classic Experience Day and Classic Virgins Experience Day as well as an exciting new exhibition 'The Car. The Future. Me' which opens on 13 July.
The Museum's new 2019 Events calendar is now available online and in the Museum to take away. Highlights include the 60th Anniversary of the Mini which the Museum will be celebrating in several ways; starting with 3 weeks of 'Mini Madness' family activities over the Easter school holidays, followed by 2 events in August. Saturday 3 August will see a Classic Mini Mosaic World Record Attempt with over 600 classic Mini's (cars produced from 1959 - 2000) spelling out 'Mini 60.' This will be followed on Sunday 4 August by a special one day National Metro & Mini Show.

The successful Gaydon Land Rover Show returns on Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 May bringing the finest vehicles, owners and historians together for a weekend dedicated to this iconic marque. The National BMW Festival returns on 11 August and is Europe's largest gathering of BMW's.
Other shows on throughout the year include the Historic Car Register Open Day on 12 January. The UK Slot Car Festival takes place on 18 & 19 May followed by the Vintage Motor Cycle Club Banbury Run on 16 June. The BMC & Leyland show returns on 7 July followed by the Old Ford Rally on 21 July. The Buses Festival is back on 18 August, Retro Truck Show on the 7 & 8 September and the Large Model Aircraft show on 27 October.
On 13 July an exciting new exhibition, 'The Car. The Future. Me' will open, the exhibition will explore futuristic car design and challenge your idea of how we will interact with the cars of the future. It's an opportunity to spark your curiosity and see how we may travel in generations to come.
For families, the Museum will also be hosting its popular school holidays activities every Warwickshire school holiday. Starting with the 'Science of POWER' for February half-term 16-24 February, followed by an Easter of 'Mini Madness' 6-28 April and a futuristic themed summer to tie in with the new 'The Car. The Future. Me' exhibition.
