Boost for historical tourism


ENGLISH Heritage has unveiled a package of exhibitions and investments in a bid to attract more tourists into historical sites this year, Destination UK can reveal.
This month, a new visitor centre was opened as part of a £2.3 million project to entice more people to The Battle of 1066 attraction at Battle Abbey and Battlefield, East Sussex.
Also, Castle Acre Priory in Norfolk has already unveiled an exhibition to explain how the Warenne family created the settlement in the 11th century.
