New offer to encourage longer breaks
SCOTLAND'S largest hostelling association has launched a recession-busting offer to encourage those on a budget to enjoy longer breaks.
SYHA Hostelling Scotland introduced a third night free offer as part of a marketing drive to appeal to wider audiences and cash in on the boom in staycations.
The drive has also included a new marketing team, improved website and an STV commercial which saw online bookings soar by almost 60 per cent the week after it first aired.

City's £1m MOBO award booster
THIS year's MOBO awards generated over £1m for Glasgow's economy, it has been revealed.
It was the first time the event has been held outside London and the move proved to be a great success - attracting a sell out crowd of 7,000 to the SECC and generating plenty of positive feedback about the show.
The awards were secured for Scotland through a partnership of EventScotland and Glasgow City Marketing Bureau and were also supported by Scottish Enterprise and the Scottish Government.
